Our Process

We only take on a couple of projects at a time. That's because a lasting, thoughtful piece — one you live with, not around — deserves full attention from start to finish. Whether you're coming to us with photos you've saved, plans from a designer, or just a rough sense of where to start, we begin by listening. We want to know how you'll live in the space and what you've already fallen in love with, so the piece we build actually fits your life instead of just filling it.

If our values align, we move into design. Every piece starts from scratch, drafted and designed in-house at our shop.

Materials come next. Because wood expands, contracts, and reacts to the space it's placed in, the right choice depends on more than the look you're after. Whether that means a dimensionally stable option like Accoya or more natural character with sustainable hardwoods, we will walk you through grain, moisture, and how each will hold up over time.

You can expect that same level of attention to detail throughout the rest of the project — through assembly, finishing, and installation.
